Job Summary
Quantity Surveyor role focused on financial health of building improvement and alterations projects. Responsible for cost management from inception to final accounts, preparing cost plans and preliminary estimates, value engineering to optimize costs, preparing tender documents and Bills of Quantities, managing tendering, monitoring cash flows, valuing work in progress, certifying progress payments, negotiating variations and final accounts, maintaining cost control records, and advising on contractual matters. Collaborates with Project Manager, architects, engineers, and suppliers to ensure accurate cost reporting, risk management, and adherence to Singapore contracts and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building, or related discipline
- Minimum of 3 continuous years of relevant post-graduation experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel)
- Experience with QS software (e.g., CostX, Glodon, Buildsoft) is a plus
- Knowledge of Singaporean contracts (PSSCOC, REDAS) and standard measurement methods
- SISV membership is advantageous
- Meticulous, detail-oriented, strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Ability to manage cost reports, variances, and final accounts with contractors and sub-contractors
- Ability to liaise with project teams including architects, engineers, and site teams
- Experience with A&A works, retrofitting or building improvement projects in Singapore
- Registration or membership with professional body (advantageous)
