Job Summary
Quantity Surveyor/Cost Manager responsible for preparing Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and detailed cost estimates, developing and controlling project budgets, monitoring construction costs, supporting procurement activities (bid evaluations, variations, cost negotiations), and providing cost forecasts and reporting to stakeholders. Requires strong analytical and numerical skills, in-depth knowledge of construction market rates and cost structures, high attention to detail, ability to work within multidisciplinary project teams, and effective reporting and stakeholder engagement. Education path includes a Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering or a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Electrical Engineering with several years of relevant experience; international costing experience and familiarity with FIDIC contracts are highly desirable.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering or related field OR Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years (or 7+ years with Bachelor's) of relevant experience in BoQs, cost estimates, and budget control
- Experience with international costing and FIDIC contracts is highly desirable
