Job Summary
Quantitative Research Analyst in Cash Equities Analytics, Automation and Optimization (Associate or Vice President). Build analytics and data-driven processes to automate and optimize trading with a focus on delta one synthetics trading. Responsibilities include developing analytics for single instruments and portfolios, taking ideas from prototype to production, designing and validating risk factors at stock and portfolio levels, and collaborating with traders to centralize risk and devise hedging strategies. Required capabilities include strong quantitative background, fluency in Python/C++/Java, experience with electronic trading and portfolio analytics, and the ability to work with large, complex data; preferred experience with KDB/q.
Required Qualifications
- degree in a quantitative field (or equivalent) in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Economics
- excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- entrepreneurial spirit and passion for spreading a culture of change towards data-driven decision making
- exceptional analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex research in a clear and precise manner
- robust testing and verification practice
- strong software design and development skills using Python, C++ or Java
- ability to manipulate and analyse complex, large scale, high-dimensionality data from varying sources, understanding and working knowledge of trading data and how to manage it
- experience in finance: electronic trading, portfolio analytics (risk modelling, portfolio optimization, synthetic trading, ETF trading), trading strategies (high to low frequency: market making, statistical arbitrage, option trading), derivatives pricing and risk management
- KDB/q experience
