Job Summary
As a Quantitative Developer, you will play a key role in building and enhancing our quantitative research data platform, focusing on coding and maintaining Python and R solutions for investment research. Responsibilities include designing software to support data science technology, performing statistical analysis on large complex data sets, and implementing code improvements for data analysis. Ideal candidates possess strong programming skills in Python, practical experience in data analytics, and a solid understanding of OOP paradigms, data structures, and numerical algorithms, along with excellent communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science, mathematics, finance, or a related quantitative field
- 1 - 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated programming skills in Python, specifically using pandas and numpy
- Expertise in object-oriented programming, data structures, and numerical algorithms
- Understanding of probability and statistics, including linear regression and time-series analysis
- Excellent communication skills, including data visualization
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies
- Interest in financial markets
Desired Qualifications
- Experience programming in R with tidyverse packages
- Experience with high-performance computing
- Experience with distributed computing technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka
- Knowledge of SQL
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux system tools and environment
- Basic familiarity with unit testing and continuous integration
- Experience with DevOps and containerization
- Experience with interactive data visualization and dashboards
