Job Summary
Quantitative Analyst role focusing on Tennis within a collaborative Quant Team. Develop tennis predictive models for pre-match and in-play, identify research directions, and contribute to maintaining production-ready mathematical libraries that deliver model predictions to clients. Engage in statistical analysis of datasets, discuss improvements across sports, and participate in professional development events (conferences, courses, meet-ups) either in-person or remotely. Strong programming experience in R or Python, a solid foundation in probabilistic/statistical modelling, and a demonstrated interest in sports modelling are essential. The position emphasizes autonomy, reproducible research, and the ability to communicate results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- MSc in Statistics or related field (e.g., Data Science or Mathematics) or PhD or equivalent, or other field with statistics experience and 3+ years in a relevant role
- Extensive experience of probabilistic and statistical modelling
- Strong programming skills in R or Python
- Demonstrated passion for working in sports modelling with relevant projects or analyses
- Collaborative team player with reproducible research and well-tested code
- Ability to work autonomously and communicate blockers
- Good organisation and communication skills including cross-team coordination
- Ability to work in the UK
