Job Summary
Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors while dusting, polishing fixtures, and furniture. Gather and empty trash, replace liners, and wipe down receptacles. Scrub, sanitize, and supply restroom facilities. Clean windows, mirrors, door-handles, switch-plates, and partitions. Ensure custodial closets remain clean, orderly, stocked, and that equipment functions properly. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and notify the manager of any repairs or additional needs. This role requires DBIDS eligibility, a drug screen, and background check. Must be able to communicate in English and read/mix cleaning solutions. High School diploma required. One to two years custodial experience preferable.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- DBIDS (Defense Biometric Identification System) eligible
- Ability to communicate in English
- Ability to read and mix cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions
- Ability to be flexible, work at a fast pace, in a multi-tasked job, as well as be dependable and timely
- Ability to read and follow use of chemical cleaners and machinery
- Must be able to lift and/or carry 35 lbs
- Able to operate custodial equipment
- Must have reliable transportation to and from Quantico Marine Corp Base or a van is available from our Market Street location
Desired Qualifications
- One to two years custodial experience
- Experience working for a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital or school
