Job Summary
Quant Trade Researcher role across digital asset markets, designing, testing, and deploying systematic trading strategies. Responsibilities include generating ideas from first principles, validating them with rigorous statistics, building live alpha signals and execution models, conducting backtests with guardrails against lookahead/data leakage/overfitting, analyzing microstructure and order flow across venues, collaborating with engineers to move research from notebook to production, and contributing to shared research infrastructure, tools, datasets, and code. Seeks junior and senior candidates with strong mathematical/statistical backgrounds, deep learning and ML experience, Python proficiency (C++/Rust a plus), and a genuine passion for quantitative research and P&L delivery. Location flexibility includes remote options with preferred hubs in Dubai, London, and New York.
Required Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in maths, physics, computer science, or related quantitative field
- Strong programming ability in Python; C++ or Rust a plus
- Deep understanding of statistical learning, machine learning, and deep learning; experience with models including boosting, transformers, reinforcement learning
- Experience in building, backtesting, and productionizing research ideas into live signals
- Experience with data quality and bias assessment in research outputs
- Ability to work end-to-end from research to deployment in a fast-paced setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with engineers and portfolio managers
- Experience in handling crypto or digital asset markets is advantageous
- A track record of research excellence (papers, competitions, Kaggle results, etc.) for junior or senior candidates
- Relentless curiosity and high initiative; comfort with unsolved problems
- Paranoid eye for data quality and bias
