Quant Analytics Associate - Fraud Strategy

Job Summary
Interpret complex data to formulate problem statements and identify risk dynamics, trends, and opportunities. Manage and implement optimal fraud strategies, including rules, cutoffs, and operational flows, to reduce losses while improving customer experience. Develop key risk indicators, enhance reporting, and assist in building new detection tools for fraud and spending patterns. Provide subject matter expertise on strategy testing and risk mitigation initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional partners across Risk, Operations, and Technology. Synthesize findings and deliver clear oral and written communication to senior management and executives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline
- Relatable work experience in a financial services organization, 4 or more years' experience in fraud/risk/payments or related field
- Proven track record in solving business problems
- Project Management Skills -- well-organized, structured approach
- Ability to achieve tight timelines on complex deliverables
- SQL
- SAS
- Teradata
- Oracle
- Alteryx
- Snowflake
- Python
- MS Office related products including Excel (Pivot tables, charts / graphs and formulas)
- Must be a team player
- Excellent relationship management skills
- Self-starter with ability to drive for resolution
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact with individuals across departments / functions and with senior-level executives
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree (OR related work experience) in a quantitative discipline preferably in a financial services organization plus 2 or more years' experience in fraud/risk/payments or related field
