Job Summary
Inspect incoming materials including vanilla beans, flavors, and powders for quality, moisture, defects, and specification compliance. Perform basic analytical testing for moisture and water activity, verify COAs against specifications, and maintain recurring inspection schedules for inventory stability. Conduct visual, aroma, and physical assessments to sort and grade vanilla beans, then recondition materials as needed. Monitor warehouse temperature and humidity conditions to report potential risks, while supporting receiving, storage, picking, and staging operations. Adhere strictly to GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards, maintaining accurate records and collaborating with Warehouse, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Quality teams.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate or bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of experience in food manufacturing, quality, or warehouse operations
- Familiarity with GMP and food safety practices
- Experience with raw material inspection and handling
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Time management
- Ability to follow inspection schedules
- Must be punctual and timely
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to remain active throughout the shift
- Full time on site

Desired Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree
- Experience performing basic laboratory testing and using standard lab equipment, such as moisture and/or water activity testing
- Forklift experience
