Quality Technician (Weekend Shift)

Inspect incoming, in-process, and outgoing products for conformance to steel-industry and customer specifications. Perform visual and dimensional inspections; interpret blueprints and inspection plans; assist with quality training in inspection equipment, policies, and procedures. Log data in Microsoft Excel; assist Operations Manager with investigations of quality issues; write Non-Conforming Material Reports and quarantine rejected materials. Provide samples and communication to QA; assist Quality Engineer with ISIR, PPAP, and capability studies; support ISO 9001:2015 practices across the workforce. Maintain accurate records (paper and electronic); organize work areas for efficient workflow; support inventory accuracy; coordinate with Purchasing on mill returns/credits and with Operations on customer returns; review cut orders and attach prints and inspection sheets.
