Job Summary
Hands-on inspection of mechanical and electromechanical parts to verify conformance to drawings and purchase-order requirements, including incoming inspection, measurement with calipers/micrometers/gauges, NCR initiation and disposition with suppliers, and maintenance of receiving records. Inspect spare and field replacement parts to ensure drawings and known defect conditions are met; reference historical quality issues and alerts to screen outgoing field parts; maintain traceability and documentation. Support quality systems and continuous improvement by logging nonconformances, RCCA efforts, and contributing to quality alerts and lessons learned. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years in quality inspection/QA in manufacturing, and proficiency with measurement tools and reading mechanical/electrical drawings. Location: Fremont, CA; full-time on production floor.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of experience in quality inspection or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical engineering drawings
- Proficiency with standard hand measurement tools: calipers, micrometers, gauges
- Experience inspecting both mechanical and electromechanical components and assemblies
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document findings clearly
- Comfortable working in a production floor environment
