Quality Technician

Job Summary
Conduct day-to-day quality oversight and routine inspections of the manufacturing operation from incoming raw materials through finished product shipping. Review incoming material receipts for compliance, including net weight, labeling, and allergen statements. Perform sample collection, weighing, and documentation for chemical, physical, and microbiological testing. Conduct pre-operative inspections, ATP swabbing, environmental monitoring, and allergen verification. Assist in investigating non-conforming material events and validate production methods. Perform packaging, labeling, and outgoing quality checks while supporting the Quality Assurance Manager with record closure. Work within a fast-paced 24/7 manufacturing environment managing cGMP guidelines and food safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Associated Degree in a science related field
- High School Diploma and a minimum of two years' experience in quality role within a science-based environment
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Working knowledge of manufacturing operations and quality assurance programs including batching, batch verification, and blending procedures
- Experience with measuring equipment and devices, data entry, and data analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of applications including Outlook and Excel
- Ability to manage a fast-paced operation that can run 24/7
- Ability to handle hazardous chemicals including caustics, acids and flammable hydrocarbons
- Ability to wear steel toed boots/shoes, safety glasses and a hard hat
