Quality Technician

Quality Technician responsible for ensuring product and process conformance to established standards and driving a quality culture. Performs safety reporting, visual and dimensional inspections, and ensures adherence to customer requirements. Key duties include identifying safety hazards per OSHA, applying MSDS/SDS requirements, inspecting parts for defects (flash, short shot, splay, burns, sink, warp), using calipers/micrometers/height gauges and various gauges for dimensional checks, completing FAI documentation and NCRs, maintaining traceability through lot/mold/machine records, understanding customer-specific requirements, following packaging and labeling instructions, and communicating quality issues with operators and supervisors while collaborating with production to address quality concerns. Requires ability to read engineering prints and control plans, and willingness to continue training to upgrade skills.
