Job Summary
Examine materials for flaws and deviations from original product specifications, inspecting, accepting, or rejecting products for durability, function, and overall quality. Perform quality control inspection and verification activities on raw materials, in-process products, and final products to ensure compliance with ISO/IATF standards. Issue in-process check sheets for OEM and aftermarket programs, complete two-hour process monitoring, and collect visual inspection and measurement data into statistical software. Report trends, shifts, and jumps in process data to Quality Assurance Management, administer document control, and perform audits. Monitor testing procedures, interpret results, and capture data into program software while maintaining runs charting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Valid driver's license
- Close visual acuity
- Ability to distinguish between normal and abnormal conditions and react/report accordingly
- Ability to effectively recognize a trend, shift and/or jump in data points and react/report accordingly
- Demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and interpret measurement data points – Statistical Process Control (SPC)

- Ability to perform various quality control related inspection and verification activities on raw material, in-process products, and final products
- Ability to ensure product meets required safety and quality standards
- Ability to stay in compliance with ISO/IATF standards
- Ability to work with and communicate to all various functions including but not limited to distribution, engineering, purchasing, production, quality, and suppliers
- Ability to issue In-Process Check Sheet to areas producing OEM and Aftermarket programs
- Ability to complete 2-hour monitoring of process, visual inspection and measurement data collection for critical characteristics
- Ability to document results into statistical software and maintain runs charting
- Ability to report trends, shifts, and jumps in process to Quality Assurance Management
- Ability to inspect and test raw materials and in-process products, and final products
- Ability to monitor testing procedures, interpret results, capture data into program software, report out on inspection results
- Ability to administer data and Document Control responsibilities in compliance with ISO/IATF standards
- Ability to perform process layered, product and/or dispatch audits – document and report results
- Ability to perform MSA studies, recall and calibration on instruments used to ensure product quality per MSA, recall, and calibration schedule
- Ability to participate in creation of PPAP packages – specifically dimensional layouts, IMDS inputs, quarantine management and in-coming inspection (if applicable)
- Ability to perform visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection)
- Ability to use measurement devices
- Ability to assemble of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes
- Ability to prepare and analyze data and figures
- Ability to transcribe
- Ability to view a computer terminal

Desired Qualifications
- 3-5 years in a quality or manufacturing related position
- 2 years of ISO and/or IATF experience
- Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Office 365 applications (MS Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Minitab or other Statistical Software
- Experience with AIAG documents
- Occasional travel
