Quality Technician

Job Summary
Quality Technician responsible for interpreting, complying with, and improving MCG’s quality assurance standards. Documents inspections and testing to verify conformance, supports reporting on quality levels and KPIs, investigates quality issues, participates in audits (ISO/UL/internal), and provides training and support to team members on systems, policies, procedures, and processes. Must possess a two-year degree or equivalent in STEM or related field, have knowledge of quality tools (8D, 5Why, PFMEA, Kaizen), and be proficient in documentation, communication, and Microsoft Office. Role involves shop-floor activities, adherence to safety requirements, and collaboration across manufacturing environments.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year degree (or equivalent experience) in STEM or related field or equivalent years of experience in manufacturing/industrial setting
- Knowledge of ISO9001 and quality assurance concepts
- Experience with audits (ISO, UL, internal)
- Ability to interpret basic electro-mechanical diagrams and various manufacturing drawings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Attention to detail and problem-solving
- Physical ability to work on shop floor (lift up to 50 lbs)
- Background screening clearance
- Must be able to follow instructions and work with PPE
