Job Summary
Conduct material and component testing at all stages of manufacturing, preparing, executing, and reporting applicable tests. Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections as directed by the Quality Manager, including capability studies, dimensional report analysis, and corrective action initiation. Audit assembly check fixtures, maintain quality records, develop gauging instructions, and perform gauge R & R's. Train employees on fixture usage and audit processes impacting product quality. Assist with sample submissions for customer PPAP deliverables and implement continuous improvement plans. Shift schedule is Tuesday through Friday from 5:15 PM to 5:15 AM with an hourly pay rate of $27.85.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Quality technician training and/or experience
- Must have experience using standard measurement, inspection, and test equipment in the inspection of sheet metal parts and assemblies
- Computer knowledge and skills (including CMS and Funnel Cloud)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control) as it relates to sheet metal stampings and assemblies
- Analytic /problem-solving abilities
- Organizational skills and abilities
- Mechanical skills and knowledge
- Must be able to perform physical activities, such as but not limited to, lifting equipment (up to 40 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking
