Quality Technician

Job Summary
Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections on materials and products using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement equipment. Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming material while performing root cause investigations and supporting corrective and preventive actions. Record inspection results in logs or digital systems and prepare quality reports for engineering teams. Evaluate returned goods and maintain calibration status of test equipment. Partner with operations and supply chain to resolve quality issues and promote continuous improvement on the shop floor. Located on site at our Eastlake, OH location.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate degree or technical certification
- 3-5 years of experience in a quality Inspection role
- Experience in manufacturing and food processing equipment, or industrial machinery
- Ability to read Technical / Blueprints / Engineering / GD&T drawings, Specifications, or Work Instructions
- Proficiency with inspection tools and measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, scales, surface tester, thread gauges, bore gauges, microscope, gauge pins, blocks, and feeler gauges
- Basic understanding of quality systems, root‐cause analysis, and problem‐solving tools (e.g., 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, SPC)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects
- Basic understanding of quality control principles
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong computer skills including MS Office, databases, and ERP systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and quality software tools
- Knowledge of inspection methods (incoming, in‐process, final inspection)
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and inspect products throughout shift
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials, equipment or parts weighing up to 1 – 40 lbs
