Job Summary
Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections on customer or WIP parts using standard measuring tools like calipers and micrometers. Prepare packing lists and certificates of conformance, complete non-conformance documentation, and maintain quality tracking records. Verify measurement device calibration, perform process audits, and support engineering qualification activities while following QMS guidelines. Offer suggestions for improving quality activities and production flow. Work inside in a non-climate controlled environment with availability for shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Technical aptitude with high level of attention to detail
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Teamwork attitude with the ability to work autonomously the majority of the time
- Must be able to multitask, and juggle multiple priorities
- Ability to adapt to a constant flow of newly qualified parts/specifications
- Possesses deep knowledge of technical production processes
- Technical drawing comprehension, ability to read and interpret specifications
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
- Must be proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software
- Able to maintain customer and Flame Spray confidentiality in regard to specifications, drawings, purchase order financial information etc
- Ability to interact with Production Supervisors and operators, and maintain confidentiality, while respecting production hierarchy/chain of command
- Non-conforming products identification and disposition within established guidelines
- Quality/Production documentation and records management ability (travelers, visual inspection records etc) per established guidelines
- Quality Management System basic training (based on ISO9001)
- Ability to operate a manual pallet jack
- Practices safe working practices at all times, and models safety to others
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, twist, climb, stoop or stand
- Ability to spend time sitting at a desk or workstation
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Availability for shift/work
- Previous experience in similar role in similar companies preferred
