Job Summary
Perform hourly quality checks on production lines, identifying discrepancies in HACCP, allergen, sanitation, and GMP programs. Ensure products meet legal and customer requirements outlined in the Bluebook while completing daily paperwork and maintaining 5-S standards. Monitor instrumentation, manage sample retentions, and execute hold procedures for non-conforming materials. Assist with test runs, audits, and inspections as needed. Work across shifts with occasional overtime, maintaining confidentiality and following all safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 months of experience as a Quality Assurance Technician
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to speak, write, and comprehend Spanish
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations, including working with fractions, ratios and percentages
- Ability to maintain good interpersonal communications and work collaboratively with co-workers, employees from other departments, and superiors
- Experience with MS Office Suite
- Ability to lift 40 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand or sit for lengthy durations
- Ability to work necessary overtime based on staffing needs and customer demand
- Ability to work across shifts
- Ability to work well with others and communicate in a respectful and professional manner
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to a variety of machines, noise levels, and varying temperatures
- Ability to work in environments that can be very warm or refrigerated
- Ability to follow all safety processes and procedures set forth by site leadership
- Must be legally authorized to work in the location to which they apply
