Job Summary
Evaluate function of electronic products and inspect finished, purchased, raw materials, and miscellaneous supplies via visual, basic dimensional, and documentation methods per FDA GMPs and ISO 13485 standards. Perform routine visual inspections of products using measuring equipment like calipers and micrometers, conduct functional testing with multimeters and impedance analyzers, and review documentation for acceptability. Analyze EXOGEN devices returned due to field complaints to determine failure causes, complete inspection result documentation, and manage inventory transactions and SPC data collection using SAP. Maintain compliance with Bioventus' Code of Compliance and Ethics while performing all related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or two years education from technical school in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or Electronics Technician
- Some experience in a position involving inspecting parts to drawings using measuring instruments (micrometer and calipers)
- Completion of courses or working knowledge of Algebra and Trigonometry
- Working knowledge of General Manufacturing Processes
- Working knowledge of Quality Control Instruments
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to use or learn SAP and other PC programs
- Ability to analyze information and assess issues
