Job Summary
Conduct hourly quality checks on production lines, ensuring all elements of the Quality Monitoring Scheme, HACCP programs, and allergen protocols are met. Report discrepancies regarding sanitation, GMP findings, foreign materials, and hold procedures to supervisors or managers immediately. Maintain 5-S standards, complete daily paperwork, and perform required audits or inspections. Assist in test runs and new product trials as needed while keeping operational information confidential. Work across 2nd and 3rd shifts with a shift differential, maintaining good interpersonal communications and following all safety processes.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 months of experience as a Quality Assurance Technician
- Good attention to detail and ability to spot defects on fast-moving production lines
- Ability to gain a basic understanding of how different machinery operates as it relates to the quality of the product and adjustments that need to be made to correct certain conditions
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to speak, write, and comprehend Spanish
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations, including working with fractions, ratios and percentages
- Ability to maintain good interpersonal communications and work collaboratively with co-workers, employees from other departments, and superiors
- Experience with MS Office Suite
- Ability to lift 40 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand or sit for lengthy durations
- Ability to work necessary overtime based on staffing needs and customer demand
- Ability to work across shifts
