Job Summary
Conduct first piece inspections against approved customer standards and perform routine in-line quality audits across manufacturing departments. Monitor production processes to identify quality risks early, verify compliance with manufacturing methods, and confirm that teams follow approved procedures. Support implementation of corrective actions, participate in root cause investigations, and contribute to analysis of quality data to reduce defects. Escalate concerns to the Quality Lead while promoting quality awareness and best practices throughout operations. This role supports continuous improvement within Barrie Knitwear's global fashion manufacturing team, focusing on maintaining the highest standards for couture cashmere garments.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of knitwear construction and garment assembly
- Experience within garment manufacturing and quality control
- Can interpret instructions, standards, and customer quality requirements
- High attention to detail and ability to identify quality risks and defects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and make objective decisions
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confidence working with production teams and supporting quality improvements on the manufacturing floor
