Job Summary
Quality Technician responsible for materials and product assessment testing in support of medical device development and manufacturing in GMP-compliant environment. Performs receiving and in-process inspections, material release for medical device manufacturing, and may review/approve job travelers (DHRs) prior to product release. Supports administration of quality systems within the electronic quality management system and collaborates cross-functionally to ensure quality documentation and timely completion. Conducts functional testing per component drawings, manufacturing/test instructions, and documents non-conformances; assists with customer audits and quality-system procedures; ensures safe, organized work area and adherence to procedures.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma or equivalent
- minimum 2 years relevant medical device/ISO 13485 experience
- 2 year degree considered
- Knowledge of electronics manufacturing preferred
- Good math and technical skills
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office
- Knowledge of quality systems including use of electronic quality management systems software preferred
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical testing techniques
- Experience in quality inspections and testing
- Ability to review, analyze, summarize and interpret data
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Hands-on approach with strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
