Quality Technician

Job Summary
Conduct day-to-day analysis and tests within the quality control program, including data analysis, systems evaluation, and product assessment. Approve finished products, in-process production, and incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and returning products for re-work. Review organization processes to ensure quality standards meet business objectives, lead investigations on basic production issues, and assist with QA audits. Document inspection results and maintain records while cooperating with internal groups to improve the inspection system. Comply with environmental, health, and safety duties, including attending training, reporting accidents, and managing hazardous waste. This onsite second shift role requires 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and operates from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in working in a quality position within a manufacturing environment in mechanical or automotive field
- Strong analytical ability to solve programs and ability to learn quickly
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions specified
- Ability to use measurement equipment as required
- Ability to follow a structured project management process including document meeting minutes, action items, and monitor progress
- Documentation of inspection results
- SAP or other MRP based system
- Must have Lock-out tags after 6 months
- Attend and participation all hazardous and non-hazardous waste trainings
- Ability to recognize chemical hazardous labels
- Spill management and clean-up
- Capability to follow satellite accumulation rules and requirements
- Proficiency to recognize hazardous wastes in your area and manage properly
- This is onsite 5 days a week second shift which is 2:00PM- 10:30PM
