Job Summary
Conduct monitoring activities, process verifications, and audits throughout the facility, including raw material checks and product quality monitoring. Enforce plant and corporate food safety programs while performing pre-operational inspections and maintaining records via computer. Audit supplies to manage inventory and design new procedures to promote continuous improvement. Adhere to all safety rules and regulations to ensure a clean work environment. Interact with peers and management to foster a teamwork-focused operation. Perform physical duties including lifting up to 50lbs and working in varied indoor and outdoor conditions. Work overtime including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without Visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Basic use of a computer
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
- High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in production and or similar military environment
- Associates Degree in Science related field
- Prior Quality Control/Quality Assurance experience
- Prior knowledge of Pet Food manufacturing
