Job Summary
Perform and record monitoring activities, process verifications, and audits throughout the facility, including raw material audits and documenting deviations or corrective actions. Monitor and enforce plant-specific and corporate food safety programs while conducting pre-operational inspections and quality monitoring of products and processes. Maintain inventory by auditing supplies and design new procedures or techniques, while documenting all record-keeping activities using a computer. Interact with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork-focused environment. Adhere to all safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean work environment. This role requires overnight rotating shifts and includes duties such as bending, lifting up to 50lbs, and working in varied indoor and outdoor conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without Visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Basic use of a computer
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
- High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in production and or similar military environment
- Associates Degree in Science related field
- Prior Quality Control/Quality Assurance experience
- Prior knowledge of Pet Food manufacturing
