Job Summary
Quality Technician responsible for daily quality control across production, conducting laboratory analyses (e.g., Brix, pH, titratable acidity, temperature, yeast cell counts and viability scores, free sulfur analysis, dissolved oxygen), and data tracking. The role includes routine hourly production-line checks, assisting with data collection, data entry, and reporting, inspecting incoming ingredients for food-safety compliance, investigating issues for accurate documentation, cleaning and calibrating laboratory equipment, supporting operations as needed, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires a high school diploma (or GED) and 1-2 years of lab experience preferred, strong Excel/Word skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently, flexibility for longer hours during peak seasons, and ability to perform physical tasks in a manufacturing environment. Working conditions include a climate-controlled, smoke-free setting with some weekend work and exposure to hot/cold environments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of experience working in a lab (preferred)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Well-developed tasting skills – Non-Smokers are highly preferred
- Understanding of Food and Beverage Industry
- Clear commitment to high quality and attention to details
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Flexibility to work longer hours during peak seasons to support business needs
- Must be able to perform physical tasks typical of manufacturing operations, including standing for extended periods and light lifting
