Job Summary
Inspect and test finished products to ensure they meet specified standards and customers' requirements. Maintain accurate records of inspections and tests, document any defects or issues found, and correct them. Monitor the production process to identify deviations from quality standards and suggest improvements. Provide training to production staff on quality measures and proper equipment usage. Support quality audits and compile reports on quality and process-related issues. Collaborate with the Production team to ensure solutions are tested and completed correctly. Manage time and projects through personal skills and software while investigating root causes and suggesting workable solutions. This Quality Technician role is based in Richmond, VA, and requires an associate degree in Engineering, proficiency in ISO 9001, and experience with inspection tools and technical drawings.
Required Qualifications
- An associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience with inspection tools, hand tools, and equipment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other quality management systems
- Strong problem-solving skills
