Job Summary
Quality Technician needed in aerospace manufacturing to support documentation, process verification, and final acceptance testing of loitering munition systems. Responsible for QA, acceptance testing, and rework to ensure systems meet operational, performance, and compliance standards before deployment, with traceability to AS9100 and government requirements. Requires interpreting manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and GD&T; troubleshooting and repairing complex electro-mechanical systems; documenting test results and corrective actions; maintaining serialization and traceability; traveling up to ~25% to training sites in the Washington DC area, South Carolina, and potentially internationally; initial and ongoing training in DC area with frequent travel to DC, VA and SC. Education/experience: associate degree or 24 months hands-on experience; minimum 18 months of experience in procedural product evaluation or acceptance testing; familiarity with test software and equipment; strong attention to safety standards and quality. Responsibilities include analyzing test data for compliance, conducting hands-on testing, documenting results, and ensuring safety and military standards during testing.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months of experience in procedural product evaluation, acceptance testing, or equivalent
- Experience supporting military-grade systems, aerospace products, or defense technologies
- Associate’s or Technical degree in a related technical field, or 24 months of equivalent hands-on experience
- Understanding of testing methodologies, quality assurance processes, and root cause analysis
- Familiarity with test software and associated testing equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex systems
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and GD&T engineering drawings
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality and safety standards
- Ability to travel approximately 25% (Washignton DC area and SC for training)
- Must have a valid passport or the ability to obtain one for potential international travel
