Quality Technician - 1st Shift

Job Summary
Quality Technician on 1st shift responsible for inspecting and testing products to verify conformance with specifications, assisting operations with quality metrics and goals, investigating quality issues, supporting audits (ISO, UL, internal), and providing training to team members on systems, policies, and processes. The role emphasizes adherence to quality assurance standards, documentation, and participation in the company’s quality management activities within a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year degree (or equivalent experience) in S.T.E.M or related field or equivalent years of experience in the manufacturing/industrial industry setting
- Knowledge of warehouse inventory management (Preferred)
- Knowledge of metal shop manufacturing and quality control (Preferred)
- Knowledge of quality assurance and continuous improvement standards, terminology, methods, and tools including ISO9001, version control procedures, non-conformance/corrective action processes, auditing, 8D, 5Why, PFMEA, Kaizen, process flow mapping, etc. (Preferred)
- Knowledge of electrical equipment manufacturing, installation, and use (Preferred)
- Satisfactory completion of additional background screening
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making skills
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret basic electro-mechanical diagrams including front elevation, one-line, manufacturing, and schematic drawings
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in all Microsoft office applications
