Job Summary
Quality Technician on 1st Shift responsible for inspecting, testing, and verifying products meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. Performs routine inspections of incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods; maintains detailed records and prepares reports; investigates quality issues and conducts root-cause analysis to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Supports internal and external quality audits, calibrates and maintains inspection equipment, collaborates with production and engineering to implement process improvements, and provides training to production staff on quality control procedures. Requires familiarity with SPC/QMS, ISO 9001/AS9100, and a manufacturing background; preferred certifications (e.g., CQT or Six Sigma Green Belt) and Oracle experience. Demonstrates strong attention to detail, analytical/problem-solving skills, and effective communication; requires ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in quality management, quality assurance, manufacturing, or another related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality, manufacturing and/or engineering role within a manufacturing environment, if non-degreed
- Proficiency in inspection and testing equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Familiarity with SPC and QMS
- Understanding of ISO 9001, AS9100
- Experience with CAPA
- Strong attention to detail and analytical/problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Preferred: CQT or Six Sigma Green Belt
- Experience with Oracle software
