Job Summary
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections on supplied, sub-assembled, and fully assembled items for Goods In and Out against technical drawings and specifications. Document findings, raise Non-Conformance Reports, and record data for new procedures if required. Perform capability, Gauge R&R, and MSA studies as requested while working with production teams to resolve quality issues. Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain ISO and customer compliance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering qualification
- Basic qualifications in mathematics/science and/or relevant apprenticeship
- Capacity to learn to use different measurement equipment
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances (GD&T)
- Good GDP
- Knowledge in ERP/ MRP systems (D365) & ability to navigate systems for quality orders/ tasks
- Knowledge/ ability of raising Non-Conformance Report (NCF/ NCR)
- Proficient in the use of metrology tools
- Ability to read & understand technical and detailed engineering drawings
- Listening, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read & interpret quality standards
- Can prioritise a workload to provide optimal output
- Analytical thinker
- Attention to detail
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Ability to use Polyworks software, Mitutoyo Quick Vision software or similar
