Job Summary
Quality Technician will perform physical inspections of metal fabricated products to verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall quality; use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to conduct inspections; document inspection results and maintain records; identify and report non-conformances and assist in corrective actions; manage/maintain document control systems; review and approve quality documents (inspection reports, certificates of compliance, material test reports); assist in development/implementation of quality control procedures; conduct internal ISO-related audits; collaborate with engineering and production to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in quality control or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality inspection and document control, preferably in a metal fabrication environment
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and inspection tools
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and practices
- Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software
- Physical requirements: ability to lift up to 50 pounds; stand for extended periods; manual dexterity
