Job Summary
Conduct product, process, and Quality Management System audits while inspecting incoming materials, final products, and reject batches. Perform chemical analysis, pressure tests, leak tests, and non-destructive evaluations including x-ray and dye penetration. Initiate nonconformance reports, revise Quality Management System documentation, and issue Certificates of Compliance. Gather gas samples, complete equipment calibrations, and analyze data to validate standards or identify deviations. Handle moderately complex issues using advanced measurement tools under general supervision. Requires 2-5 years of quality tech experience, intermediate math skills, and ability to read blueprints. Overtime and weekend hours as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years of quality tech experience, preferably in manufacturing
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and work orders
- Intermediate to advanced math skills (weight measurement, volume, distance, multiplication, division, percentage and conversions)
- Attention to detail essential
- Intermediate computer skills
- Strong time management skills
- Proven ability to identify, reason and problem solve intermediate non-conformities and deviations
- Overtime and weekend hours, as needed
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color evaluations and the ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- ASQ certification
- General to intermediate knowledge of ISO procedures
- Knowledge or experience working with Chart products
- Welding experience, a plus
