Job Summary
Quality Technician participates in quality improvement teams to identify and solve quality problems, conducts audits of quality, material, process and technical requirements, and supports manufacturing activities through auditing/monitoring of quality processes. Essential duties include inspecting products using gauges, coordinate measuring machine, scales, oscilloscope and vision prior to shipment; generating spreadsheets for data collection; reconciling final inspection documentation; following written/verbal instructions from Supervisors; reporting defective material and equipment; adhering to ISO14001 and IATF 16949 policies; performing laboratory inspection/test, testing incoming raw materials, and performing setup and maintenance on test stands; and performing other duties as assigned. The role requires high school diploma or GED with an associates degree in a technical field highly preferred, at least two years of relevant experience, problem-solving and statistical analysis skills, proficiency with gages/CMM, blueprint reading, strong math and organizational abilities, and excellent Microsoft Office skills. The position is on-site in Bowling Green, KY, and emphasizes teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of high school diploma or GED
- Associates degree in a technical field highly preferred
- At least two years of Quality Technician experience in a manufacturing assembly operation is required
- Practical knowledge of problem solving / statistical analysis; ability to train/reinforce skills in drawings, GD&T, Shop Math, and SPC
- Experience using CMMs and gage calibration
- Basic blueprint reading skills
- Strong organization and math skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to follow instructions, safety rules, and regulations
