Job Summary
Inspect raw materials, components, sub-assemblies, and finished goods for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments and fixed gauges. Complete electronic processes including bar-coding, checklists, stamping, and blueprint scanning while maintaining 5S standards. Adapt and calibrate equipment such as tape measures and micrometers, and create non-conformance reports for out-of-spec items. Communicate material disposition issues to production and conduct process compliance audits per established protocols. Support quality training for product specifications. Requires standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in non-temperature-controlled environments. High School Diploma and 1–3 years of related experience needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 1 – 3 years of related experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Intermediate math and reading comprehension skills
- Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, caliper, depth gauges, go-no go gauges, scales
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to read, speak, write, and understand English
- Ability to read, speak, write, and understand Spanish
- Basic time-management skills
- Ability to demonstrate safe and effective utilization of all required equipment
- Must be able to stand and walk on concrete up to 100% of the workday
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs alone and over 50 lbs with assistance
- Must be able to climb and balance
- Must be able to use hands to reach, handle, and/or feel
- Must have manual dexterity in hands for tool usage
- Must be able to visually inspect products
- Must be able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment
- Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment
- Travel up to 10% required
