Job Summary
Oversee containment operations, including labor management and inspection of customer products at assigned workstations. Lead teams by example while maintaining organization, strong housekeeping standards, and safety compliance. Coordinate pre-shift activities like table setup and materials, then audit paperwork and communicate with the incoming lead at end-of-shift. Provide on-the-job training, confirm resource availability, and report accidents or policy violations immediately. Ensure all employees follow health and safety policies and continuous improvement initiatives. This 2nd shift role requires Monday–Saturday coverage with potential 10–12 hour Sundays, forklift certification, and the ability to stand and lift up to 35 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work overtime, extended shifts (10–12 hours), weekends, and Sundays as required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 lbs
- Basic math skills
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Reliable attendance
- Reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher
- 3+ years of supervisory or team lead experience
- Prior experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Forklift certified or several years of forklift operating experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain procedures and instruct others
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently
