Job Summary
Quality Systems Manager responsible for developing and maintaining the Quality Policy Manual and SOPs, leading the QMS from R&D through operations, serving as the HCQM focal point and primary contact for customer audits, managing documentation and change control, monitoring quality KPIs, and driving continuous improvement across quality and engineering systems. The role oversees shelf-life considerations for materials and finished products, ensures alignment with manufacturing specifications, and leads Lean Six Sigma-driven initiatives. Located in Indianapolis, IN with relocation assistance provided for qualified candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in a cGMP environment
- Experience in manufacturing aseptic products and thermal processing
- Knowledge of system design and experience in implementing robust sustainable programs
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma tools; Belt or Black Belt certification preferred
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Commitment to ensuring Quality by Design from ideation through commercialization
