Quality Systems Manager - Automotive

Job Summary
Lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of the Quality Management System, preparing the organization for IATF 16949 compliance and customer-specific standards. Partner with leadership to establish an automotive quality culture, develop policies and procedures, and manage APQP activities for new product launches. Coordinate PPAP submissions, facilitate FMEA and SPC programs, and lead internal and third-party audits. Manage customer quality concerns, warranty issues, and supplier development using structured problem-solving methodologies. Oversee inspection processes, equipment calibration, and process validation while training employees on quality principles and Lean Manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- extensive experience with automotive quality systems, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and structured problem-solving methodologies
- Experience implementing or maintaining an IATF 16949 Quality Management System
Desired Qualifications
- preferably within an injection molding environment
