Job Summary
Quality Systems Engineer responsible for owning and maintaining the QMS, including authoring and updating AS9100 Rev D and 14 CFR §21.137 documentation, planning and leading internal audits, issuing NCRs and driving corrective action, and building KPI dashboards (Power BI, Databricks) to support Management Review. Role involves ensuring compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001, FAA Part 21, and related regulatory requirements, working with engineering, operations, and leadership in a production/manufacturing environment, with hands-on audit experience and strong data-driven analysis. It requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and 2-5 years of aerospace quality systems experience; lead auditor certification and Power BI/Databricks familiarity are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field (equivalent experience considered)
- 2 to 5 years of experience in quality engineering or quality systems within aerospace, aviation, or electronics manufacturing
- Demonstrated experience developing or maintaining an AS9100 or ISO 9001 compliant QMS
- Hands-on internal audit experience; lead auditor certification preferred
- Proficiency in root cause analysis methods (5-Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa, Is/Is Not)
- Experience with Power BI, Databricks, or similar data visualization platforms preferred
- FAA Part 21 (§21.137) production approval environment experience preferred; Part 145 familiarity a plus
- Ability to translate regulatory requirements into clear documentation
- Strong collaboration across engineering, operations, and leadership
- Ability to build and maintain quality KPI dashboards
