Job Summary
Define and regularly update Starlink's Quality Management System, providing frequent training on ISO 9001 compliance requirements and industry standards. Assess core business processes, systems, and products through an internal audit program to assure compliance with customer requirements, SpaceX procedures, and ISO9001 standards. Utilize corrective and preventive action processes to address non-conformances and drive improvement of the management system and product quality. Support internal, vendor/supplier, and external audits while taking a methodical approach to identifying quality risks impacting manufacturing and partnering with stakeholders to minimize them. Requires Bachelor's degree in engineering or STEM, 1+ years in product design/testing/manufacturing, and ability to work extended hours, weekends, and relocate to Bastrop, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in an engineering or STEM discipline
- 1+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical product design, testing, or manufacturing
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed
- Must be willing to relocate to the Bastrop, TX area if not already local
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national
- Must be a U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder)
- Must be a Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157
- Must be an Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158
- Must be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical product design, testing, or manufacturing
- Thorough knowledge of the ISO family of standards especially ISO 9001
- ASQ-CQA-RAB certified lead auditor or training with hands on implementation and assessment experience
- Intimate knowledge of manufacturing and supplier quality processes
- Experience with quality tools including root cause and corrective action, QMS and process auditing, and statistical analysis of quality metrics
- Working knowledge of SQL, ability to construct and/or maintain Tableau metrics
- Strong technical writing skills, ability to communicate effectively with management, technical teams and all organizations in the business, and strong problem-solving skills
