Job Summary
Supervise Quality Technicians by scheduling, training, coaching, and managing performance while ensuring compliance with quality procedures and environmental management systems. Monitor product quality through inspections and testing, then investigate non-conformances to lead corrective actions and drive continuous improvement. Analyze scrap trends and process data to identify improvement opportunities, review documentation for audits, and generate reports for management. Participate in cross-functional meetings, ensure work areas meet safety standards, and travel to customer and supplier locations for issue resolution. Maintain responsibility for finished product quality and support internal and external audit activities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing, or related experience
- Experience leading or supervising employees in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of quality systems, auditing processes, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information effectively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, noise, airborne particles, and changing conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree
- Auditor training or experience with internal and external quality systems
