Quality Supervisor

Job Summary
Interpret quality policies, implement guidelines, and develop SOPs to ensure compliance with cGMP standards and 21 CFR 111 regulations. Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities by identifying root causes and driving continuous improvement across the Quality department. Perform, review, and approve microbiological testing activities including environmental monitoring and finished product analysis while conducting monthly internal audits. Supervise product testing, partner with Production leadership on compliance expectations, and develop monthly reports highlighting inspection performance and improvement opportunities. Mentor team members on quality systems, regulatory requirements, and professional development to foster accountability and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Training in Quality Systems
- Minimum 3 years in a cGMP industrial environment
- Knowledge of lab testing and lab testing methods
- Internal auditing and cGMP compliance
- Strong knowledge of 21 CFR 111 and auditing processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate with team members and stakeholders
- Proven track record of overachieving goals or going above and beyond
- Possess a willingness to learn
- Working knowledge of the CAPA process
- Strong knowledge and experience in the Document Control process and procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Microbiological testing experience, including the ability to review, approve, and potentially perform microbiological testing in accordance with company and regulatory standards
- Experience with microbiological testing methods and procedures, including the use and interpretation of 3M Petrifilm testing for environmental monitoring, raw materials, and finished product analysis
- cGMP course and certification
- HACCP course and certification
- Texas Food Handlers Card
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course and certification
- FSPCA or PCQI training
