Job Summary
Oversee daily quality and laboratory functions in a dry-blend manufacturing environment, supervising staff, managing testing procedures, and maintaining product specifications. Conduct investigations, support method development, and ensure compliance with Quality SOPs, GMPs, and GLPs while supporting HACCP and GFSI food safety programs. Communicate quality issues to operations, assist in troubleshooting, maintain accurate testing records, and manage equipment calibration. Participate in internal and customer audits, assist with complaint investigations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for continuous improvement. Work Sunday through Thursday, 7:00 PM – 3:00 AM.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Engineering, or related field
- 1–2 years of experience in quality, laboratory, or food safety roles
- Experience in dry‐ingredient blending, food manufacturing, chemical, or pharmaceutical industries
- Experience with HACCP, GFSI standards (SQF, BRC, IFS, FS22000), SSOPs, and quality management systems
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations, FSMA, and industry trends
- Knowledge of dry‐blend processing, raw materials, sanitation, and environmental monitoring
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and root‐cause analysis skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality‐related software systems
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‐paced environment
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a background investigation
- Successful completion of a drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Engineering, or related field
- 1–2 years of experience in quality, laboratory, or food safety roles; experience in dry‐ingredient blending, food manufacturing, chemical, or pharmaceutical industries preferred
- Experience with HACCP, GFSI standards (SQF, BRC, IFS, FS22000), SSOPs, and quality management systems is beneficial
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations, FSMA, and industry trends
