Job Summary
Direct QC Technician team members by scheduling work to meet daily and weekly milestones while emphasizing teamwork, clear communication, and unwavering dedication to safety and quality. Manage team performance and conduct through reviews, corrective actions, and training, ensuring everyone meets productivity and quality metrics. Act as the communications hub for the team, disseminating timely information and initiating continuous improvement projects with manufacturing engineers. Maintain a clean, organized work environment and immediately address clutter to prevent errors or safety incidents. Operate laser and CMM equipment as needed and report performance metrics. Work second or third shifts, weekends, or holidays to align with the team.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years' experience
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus in Quality
- At least 2 of those years in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to accurately read measuring devices, blueprints, product specifications and test procedures
- Demonstrated excellent understanding of component IQC, IPQC
- Ability to appropriately prioritize resources based upon need
- Knowledge of manufacturing engineering and related management processes (e.g. Kaizen, SPC, TPM, FMEA, Lean Manufacturing, DMAIC, Six-Sigma)
- Solid skills and experience using Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
- High-level of visual awareness
- Strong knowledge of shop equipment, tools and work safety
- Ability to manage time, priorities and schedules for team members and self
- Ability to motivate and influence people
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to make effective decisions in an expedient manner while maintaining extremely high-quality standards
- Good communication and organization skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Required to have close visual acuity
- May be required to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally

Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree or trade-school
- Bachelor's degree in business
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of manufacturing engineering and related management processes (e.g. Kaizen, SPC, TPM, FMEA, Lean Manufacturing, DMAIC, Six-Sigma) a plus
