Quality Supervisor - 2nd/3rd Shift

Job Summary
Assess risks and safety hazards to ensure personnel and equipment safety while overseeing test, inspection, and technician teams. Collaborate with HR to staff, develop, and direct the quality team, enabling employees to evaluate risks from a customer perspective. Focus on preventing issues rather than just control by driving process management, identifying improvement opportunities, and performing audits using analytics to address non-conformances. Manage all aspects of the 2nd and 3rd shift quality operations to ensure compliance with internal, customer, and industry requirements in a cost-effective environment. This role supports ABB's Distribution Solutions Division in Pinetops, NC, which facilitates efficient power distribution and grid resilience through medium- and low-voltage switchgear and protection systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
- 5+ years of professional experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering
- Prior supervisory or management experience
- Candidates must already possess authorization to work for ABB in the US
Desired Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent is preferred
- Sound knowledge of quality tools including RCA, 8D, and CAPA
- Sound knowledge of test techniques, voltage and current testing equipment (current power and protection market)
- Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office, and Power BI
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
- Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 requirements
- Familiarity with IEEE standards
- Familiarity with UL Requirements
- Familiarity with SAP
