Quality Specialist (Materials focus)

Job Summary
Conduct chemical verification of in-process epoxy and urethane systems to ensure formulation accuracy and compliance with documented specifications. Perform incoming material inspections and confirmatory testing against Certificates of Analysis, applying acceptance criteria and controlling nonconforming product per QMS procedures. Lead preventive and corrective actions based on chemical analysis results, utilizing root cause analysis tools to update control plans and prevent recurrence. Plan and execute internal audits of processes and documentation to maintain ISO 9001 compliance, while maintaining proper laboratory procedures and supporting the Quality Management System. Evaluate laboratory capability and recommend equipment upgrades to enhance measurement accuracy. This onsite role at ABB's Distribution Solutions Division in Pinetops, NC, supports the efficient and reliable distribution, protection, and control of power.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Chemical Laboratory Analyst or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
- Experience to include 1 year in a laboratory setting with knowledge of test methodologies related to viscosity, density, gel time, etc.
