Quality Specialist

Quality Specialist for Naval Systems focusing on HVAC, fire suppression, and fire detection systems. You will lead the development and implementation of Quality Assurance Plans and Inspection & Test Plans, conduct supplier inspections across Europe, and ensure alignment with ISO 9001 and AQAP standards. You’ll collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project teams to embed quality throughout the lifecycle, support the Quality Manager with the Quality Management System, and prepare for audits. The role is hybrid and based within a commutable distance to the Manchester office. Key activities include creating and managing QA documentation for naval HVAC and fire systems, conducting supplier inspections across Europe, reviewing and approving supplier certifications and quality records, leading 8D root-cause analysis and driving CAPA initiatives, supporting internal and external audits (including MOD and client reviews), maintaining quality metrics, and contributing to continuous improvement.
