Job Summary
Conduct quality audits by analyzing special problems arising from faulty methods and recommending corrective measures. Perform inspection functions to check quality and accuracy of in-process parts, while inspecting and accepting or rejecting purchased gauges or gaging equipment. Execute salvage weld operations on miscellaneous parts and lay out parts using advanced mathematical calculations and precision inspection equipment. This role requires working the 2nd shift (2pm to 10:30pm) with a competitive hourly rate of $17.75, plus availability for initial 1st shift training.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must be available to training on 1st Shift (Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm)
- Must be available for 2nd Shift Monday- Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm
- Must be able to operate equipment including forklift, man lifts, overhead cranes, jib cranes and hoists
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must be able to walk, climb or balance
- Must be able to talk or hear
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
- Must have close vision
- Must have distance vision
- Must have color vision
- Must have depth perception
- Must be able to adjust focus
