Job Summary
Quality Specialist responsible for creating and reviewing raw material specifications with a focus on microbiology and chemical contaminants, performing Food Safety Assessments, and developing pHACCP and rMMS projects. Role includes training across functions, ensuring compliance with quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements, supporting ISO/NMS certifications, and engaging with regulatory bodies (FDA/USDA) as needed. Responsibilities also cover quality auditing/verification, knowledge transfer to operations, and providing technical assistance to factories and Application Groups.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Food Science (or equivalent)
- Food Microbiology and/or toxicology background
- Experience in food industry quality, R&D or manufacturing areas
- HACCP team member
- ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000 certification is preferred
- Experience with quality by design
- Ability to lead change efforts
- Participation in audit teams or improvement projects
